January 6th, 2009 how do I ignore certain folders in script SVN?

  • How can I ignore certain folder in the scripts SVN (http://xbmc-scripting.googlecode.com/svn/trunk) when I do a commit with tortoiseSVN? I am tryng to automate my build process and there are several scripts which I do not need for the win32 build.

  • I may have found the proper way to do this. I deleted all the files and folders from all the script folders I didn't want. Then, with SVNTortoise 1.5 I right clicked on the folder and choose TortoiseSVN -> Add to Exclude List -> Name of script folder

  • Cool. I'll look over this tonight. I had deleted all the files including the hidden svn folder from each script folder I did not want/need. That worked until today, then for some reason it decided to re-download everything :(

  • After seeing your post I decided to try and do something about this problem in a more general way it had been irritating me as well. I used .bat files linked to the buildsetup.bat for a one click solution. So i get just my preferred selection of Skins scripts and pugins from svn folders I store non svn in the same place as well

I posted an over long how to in the window forum
