January 8th, 2009 Where are the best places to take my dog?

  • I live in Jacksonville and the only place I take my puppy is pet stores and also dog parks, any ideas where I can take him around town?

    take him to the beach or there are some pet friendly outdoor restaurants. also state parks. or if he is a specific breed look for a meetup in your area or heck start one of your own. look for doggy daycares too.


  • Besides the dog park, I believe some of the regular parks are dog-friendly as well (might try Hanna Park.) Be careful if you want to hit the beach - I thibk some restrict dogs there to some degree.


  • look for zoos nad pet expos, maybe dog shows, i know mine loves them.


  • there's not many places were dogs are allowed.

    Dogs are not allowed at zoos.. and unless your dog is entered in the dog show, its not allowed at the show either.

    Most Pet Expos do welcome well-behaved dogs. Also try and see if there are any training clubs in your area.
