December 4th, 2008 Firms Bring Video to Corporate Desktop
Under terms of the agreement, the companies will provide using SightPath's Internet Media Appliances and encoding.com's Optimized Encoding System designed to provide an end-to-end solution for corporations to efficiently deliver TV-quality video to the desktop.
SightPath's media appliances enable companies to construct their own private Internet video networks. encoding.com has used its multimedia encoding technology to enable corporate customers like Cisco, BMG and new College Broadcast to incorporate audio and video into their Internet and intranet offerings.
"With encoding.com, companies have a high-quality means to encode media for distribution throughout the enterprise," said Jim Ricotta, founder and CEO of SightPath, Inc. "With SightPath, companies have the power to distribute and deliver this dynamic, high-impact content without breaking the corporate network."
"Together, we're providing companies with an end-to-end solution for motivating and educating key audiences with the energy of TV-quality video and global reach of the Internet."
